Village Board

Addison is governed by a Mayor and six-member Board of Trustees. All are elected at large for four years with staggered terms. The Mayor, with the advice and consent of the Board of Trustees, appoints a full time Village Manager to supervise operations of the various departments. The Board of Trustees is the Village's legislative and policy-making body. It also approves the annual budget, determines the tax levy, passes ordinances and resolutions and approves subdivisions and other land use.

The Board of Trustees meets the first and third Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m. in the Board Room of the Village Hall. In the event of a Monday holiday, meetings are held on Tuesday.

Addison Elementary School District 4 has eight schools which include six elementary buildings, a primary center, and a junior high.

The Addison Park District dedicates itself to providing the highest quality park system with 24 parks, recreational facilities, and related social programs for all ages and cultural origins.
